Door one

Ecommerce operations

Running the storefront and the trade. Shopify Plus, catalogue and ranging, pricing, bundles, sale launches, stock, clearance, preorders, and the B2B accounts, across three channels that each bill differently.

The trade

What makes this catalogue different

Most footwear ranges by size and colour. This one ranges by size and width, because the customer may be fitting a shoe over an ankle foot orthosis, and in that case width is the whole decision while colour is not one at all. A single style can exist in four widths across two cuts, so one product is a grid rather than a row.

That changes every job downstream of it. Ranging is decided per width. A stockout in one width is a lost sale even while the size still looks available on the page. Clearance has to separate stock that is genuinely dead from a width that is simply slower, because cutting the slow width breaks the range for the exact people who needed it.

Three channels then sit on top of that one catalogue. Direct customers pay at checkout. NDIS orders are billed to a plan manager who is not the person wearing the shoes. Hospitals and government health services buy on purchase orders with their own reference numbers and their own delivery rules. Same product, three sets of paperwork.

The work

What I own

  • Storefront and theme on Shopify Plus, including performance work on the theme bundle.
  • Ranging and catalogue build, including sizing and fitment data across five brands.
  • Pricing, bundles and promotions, plus price lists prepared for government health tenders.
  • Sale events including end of financial year, planned around dead stock as well as trading.
  • Stock position, clearance, oversold detection and preorder allocation.
  • Affiliate and referral programs supporting customer acquisition.
  • B2B and wholesale accounts and their purchase order intake.
  • A new own brand in preparation, from sizing decisions through to brand identity.
